Image understanding

Prioritize image understanding for visual screen content.

Use Vision when layout, symbols, diagrams, or pixels carry information that text extraction alone cannot represent.

What Vision is for

Vision prioritizes the captured image instead of treating the request as text alone. Use it for charts, diagrams, symbols, screenshots, images, layouts, and other selections where the pixels carry meaning.

Choose Vision in Settings under Answer Box, then press a mode shortcut and select the complete visual context you want LowLighter to interpret.

Vision uses an AI Vision allowance

Paid plans include a monthly AI Vision allowance. Basic includes 1,000 AI Vision responses per month and Pro includes 2,000. The current count and reset date appear in Account.

Yearly subscriptions keep the same monthly AI Vision allowance and reset cadence. The billing period and the Vision meter are shown separately when they have different dates.

What happens when Vision is unavailable

If the Vision allowance is exhausted or image processing cannot complete, LowLighter falls back to OCR and text processing for the captured content.

For the best result, select the full visual. A crop that omits labels, axes, surrounding text, or diagram relationships gives Vision less context to work with.
