Customize LowLighter's visual effects.

Use the Aesthetics workspace as the starting point for Cursor Companion, Ambient Frame, and Winter Frame.

Open the Aesthetics workspace

Aesthetics is the LowLighter workspace for visual controls that change how the desktop appears around your work. Open it from the sidebar to configure Cursor Companion, Ambient Frame, or Winter Frame.

Cursor Companion
Adds a companion that follows your cursor across the desktop.
Ambient Frame
Adds a configurable glowing frame around the screen.
Winter Frame
Adds falling snow around the borders of the screen.

Choose an effect and configure it

Each effect has its own settings and reset action. Open the effect card you want, change its controls, and use its preview or live presentation to decide how it fits your desktop.

Ambient Frame and Winter Frame are available with Basic or Pro access. Cursor Companion is a Pro feature.

Use Aesthetics with Phantom

Cursor Companion is compatible with Phantom. Phantom has its own appearance and system controls, while Aesthetics remains the place to configure the companion and frame effects.

Keep feature settings separate. A visual effect changes the desktop presentation; it does not replace Phantom's capture-protection controls.

Keep visual effects available without the dashboard

Closing the main LowLighter window does not quit Aesthetics. Enabled effects can remain visible while the dashboard is closed and are designed to use modest background memory.

Reopen LowLighter from the system tray on Windows or menu bar on macOS to change an effect. Choose Quit when you want to stop LowLighter and its visible effects.
