Meeting configuration

System docsEdit meeting modes

Customize a Meetings mode.

Open Manage modes to edit mode guidance, review the mode description, and commit the mode you want to use for the next live session.

On this page

Open Manage modes

Open the Modes menu in Meetings and choose Manage modes. The editor opens with the current Meeting mode selected and shows the available modes in a navigation list.

Use the mode list to inspect or edit a mode without immediately changing the mode used by the normal Meetings surface. Select the footer action when you want to commit a different mode for the next live session.

Edit guidance for a specialized mode

  1. 1

    Choose a specialized mode

Select Interview, System Design, Coding Interview, Behavioral Interview, or Custom from the mode list.

  2. 2

    Edit the guidance

Update the guidance text in the editor to describe the kind of help you want from live Assist.

  3. 3

    Let the change save

The mode guidance is saved as you edit it, so the updated text is available the next time that mode is used.

  4. 4

    Select the mode

Use SELECT in the footer to make the chosen mode the active Meeting mode.

General has no specialized guidance editor because it is the unspecialized Meetings choice. It can still use reference files as supporting material.

Keep references with the selected mode

The same management view includes the reference-file area for the selected mode. Add or remove files there without changing the guidance text. Reference files remain associated with their mode, so choose the correct mode before managing them.

Editing and selecting are separate actions. Changing a mode's guidance updates that mode. Selecting a different mode with SELECT changes which guidance is used by live Assist.
