Use Explain for unfamiliar material

Explain asks LowLighter to make the selected content easier to understand. It is useful for technical text, unfamiliar terminology, code, diagrams, and other material that needs context rather than a short summary.

   Choose Explain

   Select Explain on Home or press its assigned shortcut.

   Select the material

   Include the complete passage or visual whose meaning you want to understand.

   Read the explanation

   The answer box presents the explanation without replacing the original content.

Use the selection to preserve context

For a dense paragraph, include the heading or the sentence that defines the subject. For a diagram or image, select the full visual so the response can account for its layout.
