Choose a mode for live guidance
Meeting modes give live Assist a conversation-specific focus. Choose the mode that matches the session before you start listening.
- General
- Use the general Meetings experience without a specialized interview or design focus.
- Interview
- Use the built-in interview guidance for questions and follow-ups.
- System Design
- Use the system-design guidance for a design-focused conversation.
- Coding Interview
- Use the coding-interview guidance for a coding-focused conversation.
- Behavioral Interview
- Use the behavioral-interview guidance for experience and behavior questions.
- Custom
- Use your own meeting guidance for a different conversation structure.
Edit the guidance for a mode
Each specialized mode exposes editable guidance. Update the guidance when the conversation needs a more specific focus, then save the mode before starting a session.
General is the un-specialized choice. The selected mode is used by live Assist alongside the live transcript and any enabled screen context.
Keep reference files with the mode
Every meeting mode can keep up to two reference files. Use Meeting References for the supported file types and size limit.
Choose the mode before listening. Changing the mode is a preparation step for the next session, not a replacement for the live transcript.
