Phantom settings
Show or hide the Phantom border.
Use the Phantom border switch to control the protected answer surface outline without changing Phantom or its other appearance settings.
On this page
Toggle the Phantom border
Open Phantom while it is active, expand Appearance, and use Phantom border. Turn the switch on to show the violet accent around the protected answer surface, or turn it off to remove that border treatment.
- 1
Open Phantom
Choose Phantom from the LowLighter sidebar and enable it if needed.
- 2
Open Appearance
Expand the Appearance card shown for the active Phantom surface.
- 3
Set Phantom border
Turn the switch on or off and review the answer surface.
Keep the border choice independent
Phantom border changes the outline only. It does not change Background opacity, Text color, Text opacity, StealthType, GhostKeys, the Phantom menu-bar control, or whether Phantom is enabled.
Use Reset to Defaults in the Appearance card when you want to restore the packaged border choice with the rest of the Phantom appearance settings.
Understand the difference from the standard answer box
Phantom border belongs to the protected Phantom answer surface. The regular Answer Box has its own Border visibility control in Settings.
Choose the surface you want to change. Use Phantom Appearance for the protected surface and Answer Box settings for the standard surface.
