Choose a processing setting in Settings

The Answer Box settings include three engine choices: Fast, Auto, and Vision. The setting controls how LowLighter interprets the screen capture, while the answer mode controls the kind of response it returns.

Fast
Uses the text-first path for readable selections.
Auto
Chooses between text processing and image understanding based on the captured material.
Vision
Prioritizes image understanding for content where visual detail matters.

Access and feature settings can change the active path

Basic and Pro include the paid engine set. Free accounts use the service's free routing and can move to a text-only path after the free Auto allowance is used.

Offline AI uses the Fast engine while it is active. Automatic Screen Capture uses Vision for the saved region. These feature-specific rules take precedence over ordinary engine cycling.

The account view is authoritative. When an engine is unavailable or an allowance has changed, the desktop shows the current state supplied by the service.
