Compare Ask before running and Full access

Full access: Agent continues through supported actions covered by your request without asking at every step.
Ask before running: Agent pauses for approval before it reads or changes files, runs commands, inspects the screen, or starts other reviewed actions.

Both choices stay tied to the task you described. Choose the level that fits how closely you want to review the work as it happens.

Choose access for the task

Use Ask before running when you want to review actions during a new, sensitive, or unfamiliar workflow. Use Full access when the request and destination are clear and you want Agent to continue through the supported steps with fewer interruptions.

Full access does not skip operating system permission prompts, administrator approval, or private sign-in steps. Those decisions still belong to you.

Private account steps still belong to you. Take over to enter passwords, security key responses, payment details, or other private information directly.

Stay in control while Agent works

You can stop the current task, take over the Agent browser, or send a correction from the Agent overlay. A follow-up changes the active request without requiring you to close the browser workspace.

If a task reaches a page Agent cannot complete, handle the required step directly or ask Agent to finish the parts that remain available.
