System docsCopy a transcript

Copy the completed transcript from the Meetings workspace.

Use the transcript action to place the visible speaker-labeled meeting text on your clipboard.

On this page

Use Copy transcript

Open the Transcript view in Meetings, then select the copy control in the transcript header. LowLighter places the completed transcript text on the clipboard so you can use it in another application.

  1. 1

    Open the transcript

Select Transcript during a live session, or open the transcript from a finished session.

  2. 2

    Select Copy transcript

Use the copy control beside the Transcript heading.

  3. 3

    Paste the result

Paste the copied text into notes, a document, or another text field.

What the copied text contains

The copied transcript keeps each completed speaker turn on its own line with a relative timestamp and a speaker label. The labels are Me and Them, followed by the transcribed text.

Turns that are still being transcribed are left out of the copied result. Wait for a segment to finish if it needs to be included.

Copy a transcript only after content appears

The transcript view can be open before any speech has produced a completed turn. In that state, there is no transcript text to place on the clipboard. Continue the session or open a finished session, then copy again.

Assist answers have their own copy action. Copy transcript exports the meeting conversation. Copy an individual Assist answer from the chat message when you only need that response.
