Use the overlay without changing your active app

The Agent overlay is designed to remain interactive while the application in front of you stays in place. Open the composer, type or paste a request, and return to your work while Agent continues.

The visible Agent overlay uses Swift on macOS and C# on Windows. Its background behavior is designed to keep memory use modest while the overlay is waiting.

Work with the conversation

Send a follow-up

Add a correction, answer a question from Agent, or describe the next change in the same task.

Paste a detailed request

Paste longer instructions into the composer when the task needs exact text or several requirements.

Copy chat text

Select and copy useful text from the expanded Agent conversation.

Review progress

Expand the activity list when you want to see the actions reported for the current task.

Keep Agent available after closing the dashboard

Closing the main LowLighter window leaves Agent available. Use the tray icon on Windows or menu bar icon on macOS to reopen the dashboard. Choose Quit when you want to stop LowLighter and its background features.
