Respond to an available update
When a LowLighter desktop update is available, the updater presents the available version and the actions for downloading or postponing it.
- Download
- Start downloading the available desktop update.
- Later
- Dismiss the update prompt and continue using the current installation.
- Install & Restart
- Install a downloaded update and restart LowLighter to use it.
Follow download progress
During a download, LowLighter shows the updater's progress. Keep the desktop open until the update is ready to install.

Start Download
Choose Download when the update prompt appears.

Wait for Ready
Let the updater finish downloading the package.

Install & Restart
Choose the installation action when the update is ready.
Retry an update that failed
If the update cannot be downloaded or installed, the desktop shows an error state and a Retry action. Choose Retry after checking the connection, then follow the same download and install flow.
Need to keep working? Choose Later when you want to postpone the update and return to it from the desktop prompt.
